Sayers Leederville
The coffee centre of Leederville has welcomed another spunky cafe to its already bursting streets with Mark Sayers and his wife Steph creating a cool, almost Melbourne-style eatery. Walking into the duo's namesake cafe, the first thing you'll notice is its size. By Leederville standards the space is pretty tiny, but this is no bad thing. With friendly staff and inviting couches, the cafe engulfs its customers in a vibe as warm and nurturing as a matronly hug.
Much of the food at Sayers is on display, with an array of sweet and savoury slices and cakes provocatively displayed in the cabinet. If this doesn't get you salivating, you might just want to check your pulse. All the food is made on the premises by Mark Sayers. He's passionate and enthusiastic about what he's producing and he sources the cafe's produce himself, crafting the ever-changing menu around seasonal produce.
Even if you don't have time to sit down and have breakfast or lunch, grab a coffee and enjoy the smooth and very tasty blend of Five Senses coffee - it tastes as good as it smells. Match it up with a sneaky sweet treat such as a kaffir lime and coconut tart; or the popular pear and polenta cake.
