The Grange Beaumaris Beaumaris
Be sure to wear your Sunday best when waltzing into the Grange Beaumaris: it's not a thongs-and-shorts kind of place. Rather, it's an old-school dining room with elegant touches in the form of fine silverware, white-clothed tables, creamy walls and warm illumination by Victorian-style wall lighting and a central chandelier.
To match its European style, the Grange's menu ventures into European-influenced modern Australian fare that's straightforward and appealing. Entrees range from roast pumpkin risotto to crumbed lamb's brains, while the mains are mostly meats including rib eye steaks, kangaroo fillet, veal schnitzel and slow-braised ox cheek. Add a homemade sticky date pudding and fine Victorian or South Australian wine (Penfold's Grange included, of course), and that's your complete Grange experience.
