Mean Fiddler Rouse Hill
Those who prefer their haunts with a little less "old-style charm" and a little more contemporary sophistication - i.e. strictly no tired old pubobilia, vintage-y mismatched furniture and 80-year-old beer-stained carpet - will feel right at home at this immaculate Hills district pub.
Spaces like the Fiddler Bar subtly preserve the venue's history with antique fixtures and a gorgeous 1880s Parisian chandelier, but the ultra-contemporary spaces, like the spacious courtyard, adds a certain wow factor to the joint.
Patrons have their pick of quality bistro fare at the Royal Oak Grill, where the steaks are always tender and the food is always fresh.
On a side note, if you're dining out with the family be warned: once the ankle-biters spy the Baskin Robbins ice creamery within you'll never hear the end of it, so be prepared to fork out for dessert.
