Blue Elephant Pennant Hills
The food here is modern Sri Lankan, and it will leave an unexpected impression. Although many of the flavours are similar to those found in Indian cooking, Sri Lankan cuisine benefits from the influence of the Malaysian, Dutch and various other cultures that have passed through the area. Far from being all about curry and rice, the menu at Blue Elephant is full of surprises, including a tempting dessert menu of familiar, yet oh-so-different sweets. The space is (not surprisingly) blue-walled and elephant-themed, offering a cosy environment with many cultural artefacts to lure the eye.
