yourRestaurants presents ... Summer Dining 2009-2010 SA

Summer would just not be the same without fruity cocktails, seafood buffets, messy hamburgers, ice-cold beers and even icier icy poles. So the yourRestaurants team have decided to devote this list to the beaches, beer gardens and botanical gardens where you'll find the hottest places to eat, drink and be seen throughout summer.

1

Petaluma's Bridgewater Mill
Bridgewater
This charming eatery in the vines pleases with a menu of French/Vietnamese cuisine. While the food certainly lives up to the much-lauded hype, with decadent dishes such as crayfish tail and roast potato salad with truffle creme and salted duck egg, it s the fabulous views here that truly steal the show.

2

Sparrow Kitchen & Bar
North Adelaide
Most certain to be hotter than a bikini-clad Miranda Kerr come summer time, Sparrow Kitchen and Bar does tapas delights mixed with pizza options, as well as a selection of delicious main dishes. Not to be missed is this eatery's version of the crema catalana, served with salted caramel ice-cream absolutely delicious!

3

The Manse
North Adelaide
One of Adelaide's most refined eateries, The Manse is set in a charming federation building and the menu is an elegantly modern French affair. Certainly a special occasion restaurant, The Manse is the perfect place to indulge oneself in a little bit of summer opulence.

4

Auge
Adelaide
A summer in the festival state wouldn t be complete without sampling one of the delightfully Italian dishes on the menu at one of Adelaide s finest diners. The eccentric 70s inspired decor is also rather eye-catching, and with a menu that changes seasonally expect some truly fresh and light flavours.

5

Chianti Classico
Adelaide
Another Italian stunner, and like the country from which this eatery draws inspiration, summer is a relaxed and fun affair. There s sure to be many Mediterranean delicacies on the menu here from antipasto plates to begin, to entrees such as gamberett fritti ( lightly fried school prawns), or mains such as flathead, Morten Bay bug tail, Port Lincoln mussels and scallops gently poached in a tomato, chilli and basil broth.

6

Concubine
Adelaide
One of Adelaide s most impressive Chinese experiences, Concubine is all exotic charm and class. With a moody, yet inviting dining room, patrons here will surely forget about the pounding South Australian heat as they feast on such menu highlights as decadent wagyu beef and seasonal seafood stunners.

7

Star Of Greece
Port Willunga
With pristine views of the Gulf of St. Vincent, Star of Greece will likely have diners believing they ve been transported to the Mediterranean. The menu here has a strong seafood focus and helps to emphasise this eatery s casual elegance, with dishes such as poppy seed and black lime crumbed whiting giving fish and chips a new, slightly fancy, edge.
