Sydney Festival feasts

The Sydney Festival is all about the very best in dance, music, theatre and visual art. But to round off any great occasion, you simply must add a great meal into the mix. Enter Fast Festival Feasts - with this festival deal you can enjoy a meal, along with a nice cool beverage, at a range of Sydney's top-notch restaurants for the bargain price of $25. But be quick - prices will return to their normal high at the end of the Sydney Festival (January 5-26).

1

Dome at the Arthouse Hotel
Sydney
Edgy and contemporary, this heritage-listed former School of Arts building is now a popular drinking hole of the tres chic. Dome is offering a main meal of pan-fried corzetti pasta with grilled prawns, fresh asparagus, chilli and parmesan for Fast Festival Feasts.

2

The Bellevue Dining Room
Paddington
This grand old building features a cosy pub-style bar that contrasts with its airy, pristinely white bistro area. For the festival they are serving spaghetti with Balmain bug, baby capers, rocket, lemon zest and toasted almonds.

3

Bistro Moncur
Woollahra
Comfortable and welcoming, this place serves excellent French cuisine. Try their pan-roasted Atlantic salmon, baby spinach, semi-dried roma tomatoes and a Sicilian olive tapenade.

Coast
Darling Harbour
For waterside dining at Cockle Bay, drop by Coast and sample their grilled barramundi fillet with cavalo nero, raisins and vin santo.

The Rocks
This is a great place to impress that lucky lover. Sit back and enjoy the waterside sparkle as you feast on crispy-skin salmon, fennel, romesco, orange and scallops. How romantic.

6

El-Phoenician Restaurant
Parramatta
One of the more posh options along Parramatta's eat streets, El Phoenician offers Lebanese cuisine with an emphasis on seafood. Try their mixed plate of tabouli, hummus, shish kebab, shish tawouk and kafta.

7

Fix St. James
Sydney
When dining at this rather attractive hole-in-the-wall city restaurant, mention the Fast Festival Feasts to taste their yummy calamari with tomato, chilli, garlic and crisp prosciutto.

8

Golden Century
Haymarket
One of the most popular eateries in Chinatown, Golden Century offers fresh seafood, straight from their tanks. During the festival this Haymarket stalwart is offering stir-fried king prawns with mixed vegetables.

9

Grace Cafe
Sydney
Grace Cafe brings relaxed dining to the middle of the CBD. Enjoy the stress-free environment over a veal fillet wrapped in zucchini with sauteed potato and rosemary red wine jus.

10

Lotus Pond
Pyrmont
Located at Star City, this restaurant is housed in a faux Chinese pavilion and serves a number of seafood dishes. For the festival they will be offering a bargain on their fried soft shell crab with salted egg yolk.

11

Ocean Room
Sydney
With exciting interior design, not to mention the view of the harbour, the food here is perfectly suited to its plush surrounds. Try their seafood tasting duo - five spiced king prawns and pan-seared fish fillet with zesty tomato salsa.

12

Opera Bar
Sydney
Sit among the beautiful people near the iconic Sydney Opera House. Opera is serving up pan-roasted barramundi with pearl barley risotto and summer vegetables.

17

Watershed Hotel
Darling Harbour
Not quite a shed but still featuring a lovely uber-relaxed vibe, this restaurant offers cocktails and meals, spiced with the buzzing Darling Harbour atmosphere. As you watch the boats jostle on the water, enjoy a summery meal of poached kingfish with kipfler potato gratin and wilted garlic snow pea tangles.
