More than meets the eye
There are plenty of restaurants around that have flashy set ups, the latest gadgets and get ups, sensational uniforms and trendy staff, but there is that certain element missing that makes you want to return. This list is about places I have found over the last few years that are so great I keep going back, and love it

A Taste of Jamaica
Adelaide
|
I love this place! I loved it when it was a tiny hole in the wall at Goodwood and I love it even more now. The cook, Rohan, has to be one of the greatest personalities in Adelaide. Why he is not a celebrity chef beats me. Every time we have been there he came out to chat to customers and see how it all was, then danced with everyone. What a hoot! Oh, and the food is so wicked.

BaBanusa Restaurant
Prospect

The night we first went here we loved it so much it has been a regular choice for us since, despite living nowhere near Prospect. Trust me, it's worth the drive.

Tongue Thai'd
Mile End

MMMMM! Fishcakes, yum! I am yet to get to their cabaret show - apparently it's great. I discovered this tiny hole in the wall through a friend who works at Telstra up the road. And what a discovery.

Ying Chow
Adelaide

I love their chicken and mushroom hotpot. Ying Chow is on my list mainly because it focuses on the food, rather than the flash.
