Only a hop, skip and a jump away from Canberra's shopping and entertainment highlights, Zipp is one ritzy affair. Located within the four-star Saville Park Suites, its decor emulates the people who dine there - polished, neat and refined. The choice of pallid walls offsets the black and red dining area, and the mood lighting casts a pleasant glow across the restaurant - although, with the first-class menu, you could be forgiven for not noticing. Chef Oliver Maokhamphieu has created an appetising mix of modern Australian and international cuisine, with generous-sized mains starting at $22.50. If you're feeling decadent, try the double-layered beef tenderloin with mixed mushrooms, bacon and chasseur sauce. At $28.50, its savoury taste is well worth the extra dollar - and with most desserts running under $10, you can afford a little extravagance for your main. Make sure you also head to the bar for some fruity cocktails, as the great range of drinks and the friendly service staff will almost convince you to stay the night for breakfast!

Fantastic food, friendly service and classy atmosphere
The waiters were wonderfully accomodating and helpful. The food was well presented and tasted great, the only thing you need to keep in mind - this is fine dining, order a side of vegies and an entree. The atmosphere was quiet and classy but still relaxed enough to have fun.
