There are a handful of Chinese restaurants in this city that you could consider gourmet, modern and sometimes fashionable, though they tend to be anywhere but at the hub of it all - Chinatown itself. Joining the host of Haymarket's cheap-and-cheerful, traditional and late-night eateries is Zilver, which hopes to spruce up the neighbourhood with its designer decor of bronze pillars and wooden lattice screens. Great food, staff were friendly & efficient
I just had the best experience with my wife at Zilver! The staff were VERY attentive and friendly and the food was delicious.
Being new to tradional Chinese, I experimented with yum cha and their Chinese fusion dishes....Yum! I'd certainly go again, and recommend it to all my friends

Good food, abominable service
Went we with a group of friends for Chinese New Year dinner. Booked the place 2 weeks in advance to check out the dinner. They assured that everything will be fine and understood it wil be for 20 people. Went back the couple of days before, the lady at the counter didn't even have a record of my booking! On the night of the dinner the table was not ready. Had to wait for almost 3/4 hr to be seated. They got the wrong food that I pre-ordered. Adding to insult the bill amount to be more than $300 for mediocre banquet and lousy service. Had been back couple of time for dim sum hoping that it could be just one bad evening. BUT service remains abominable!

Excellent food and service
I'd a business dinner at Zilver last week and the seafood is so fresh, atmosphere is so contemporary and chic, service is excellent and the Chinese dishes are very fusion: many new dishes eg pumkin seafood curry. It's been a very nice and wonderful experience at Zilver
