Hugely popular with uni students on breaks from the nearby Adelaide University, Zen Kitchen has been a pretty well-kept secret until now. Tucked away in Renaissance Arcade, it's a bustling spot but known only to bargain hunters who seek it out for its cheap, fresh, tasty Vietnamese food. The banh mi (fresh baguettes filled with grilled or roast meat and salad) pretty much walk out the door come lunchtime, and the huge bowls of pho (beef and rice noodle soup) are popular choices for cold, wintery days.
