Taking the cool from Brunswick and Fitzroy to their own little spot in Windsor, the Yellow Bird invites everyone, from "the tattooed to the elderly", as co-owner Clint Hyndman explains. The look is proper Americana, with rollicking rock tunes playing, preloved furniture and some interesting taxidermy displays. Chefs Nick and Tom, who have previously earned their stripes in the kitchens of Tusk and Pause, continue building on their fine reputations, serving a modern fusion of tastes. The breakfast burrito is the earlybird's choice.
