From burritos to tacos and enchiladas, with more adventurous dishes in between, Zapata's has all the flavour and spice of South American cooking. This Fremantle institution has concocted a fiery mix of Mexican and Latino fare for more than 16 years, also offering exclusive Latin American beers, wines and spirits alongside an eternally summery collection of cocktails, such as the Caribbean Breeze, featuring dark rum, banana liqueur, pineapple, cranberry and lime, and the classic fruity sangria.

Well below average
I have eaten before at zapatas and had fond memories. However my recent visit was very disapointing. The food was over cooked and tasteless and slow and the service was a disgrace. Not good at all. Must have changed owners/managment.

Great atmosphere, too bad about the food
I absolutely looved the amosphere. They had a live band playing which was great for atmosphere. The restaurant was buzzing with people. Only thing was the price of the food and the size of the plates. I think for what you get the menu is way over priced, and I really didn't even enjoy my taco. But like I said, great atmosphere, and they have cheap cocktails.
