Like its namesake tropical East African island, ZanziBar is a breezy escape for those in need of a chilled-out wind-down. In the buzzing heart of King Street, this two-level pub, cocktail lounge and bistro looks grungy and funky downstairs in the main bar, with its wall of band posters and graffiti-sprayed bar, moving to a more European-style look on the rooftop terrace upstairs, which offers wonderful views of the Inner West. Along with a brilliant selection of cocktails, ZanziBar's menu covers pub favourites such as schnitzel, barramundi and risotto, but the truly hungry go for the bountiful vegetable, seafood and meat stands to share amid friends, or devour solely.
