Exotic and colourful, Zafron on Brunswick is a warm and interesting dining experience, drawing on flavours from Persia, Morocco, Turkey, Spain and Greece. If you're out for a special occasion, make sure you order the Caspian chicken, where a chicken breast is marinated in pomegranate molasses, seared and rolled in crushed pine nuts, baked and placed on wilted spinach and caramelised carrots, and to top it off, sprinkled with French-style white wine and saffron sauce.
Desserts are a rich and complex affair, from the delicate rosewater-scented Persian ice cream strewn with saffron and pistachio slivers to the density of the dark chocolate torte, packed with Persian figs and pistachios and served with fruit and fresh cream. However, it can all be burned off by dancing to the live music, which varies from jazz to flamenco.

Wow !!!!
I can't believe I haven't been here before. My husband wants to keep it a secret. We ate here last night with our 2 teenagers and a friend. We're all foodies and were totally blown away by everything we ate, it was incredible. If you want an incredible meal this is the place, it's our new favourite restaurant. My advice would be to go with a few friends and share the meals, they're too good to be limited to only one. Chef Fay you are a credit!!

A great night and something a bit different
Zafron is not just a nice restaurant to eat, it's an adventure in Persian cuisine. In Australia there are not many opportunities to eat any food from the Middle East, let alone good food. The chef is Persian and has combined authentic Persian dishes with dishes with a Persian twist but which are possibly a bit more European. Whilst all the food is good - I have visited this restaurant on more than one occasion. Here's a tip - don't hold back on trying the Persian dishes. They are delicious, with subtle flavours that do not overwhelm. Try the Alboloo Pulao, or the Ghomet Sabzi or Fesanjun. Equally the more westernised dishes like Caspian chicken will also please. The service is excellent - you will be well taken care of. It is BYO. Enjoy!

Great night!
Went on a Friday night with a couple of friends and it was lovely. The food was amazing- so many delicious and interesting flavours! We ordered the meat tapas plate (YUMMY), and the fesejan and spatchcock. The waitresses were very nice, the chef came out to see us at the end of the night. Great atmosphere! Will be back!

Beautiful food!
Awesome food! Especially if your vegetarian. The food was jam packed with flavour & looked delicious too. Really opened up my taste buds to something a little different - really enjoyed the saffron, cloves & all those other yummo spices. Awesome!
