If, like so many other inner-city cafe-hoppers and amateur cooks, you don't know your blood limes from your celeriac, then think of this cute Darlinghurst cafe and grocer as an education. At least that's the premise behind the rustic eatery, whose home-style cafe cuisine and fresh produce sets out to inspire Sydneysiders.
Spearheaded by Chris Starke, former pastry chef at Marque, the menu is wholesome and tasty. You'll find items such as freshly baked strawberry and chocolate muffin, egg fettutini in a roasted vegetable sauce and a mouth-watering, slow-roasted Suffolk lamb sandwich with lettuce, roasted potatoes, mustard mayo and roast tomatoes. The cafe has already won over Darlo dwellers with its excellent coffee, fresh breads and passion for creating and serving good food in a laidback setting.
