The Yorkshire deftly walks that fine line between old-world charm and modern convenience, offering the best of both without compromising the overall product. Open fireplaces and exposed brick walls wrapped up in a 120-year-old building give the Yorkshire all the rustic charm you could ask for. The menu, however, is based firmly in the modern gastro-pub style, so expect to see a lot more than the tired meat and two veg options.
Beef carpaccio with piquillo peppers provides an elegant starter before a chargrilled lamb rump with bold Middle Eastern flavours and a sheep's milk feta kicks things up another notch. A selection of cheeses paired with an '08 botrytis semillon will turn a well-constructed meal into an exercise in indulgence.
