Food worth going back for
I love Thai food even though I can't take anything spicy. But this joint has food that's worth getting heated up for. Unpretentious and totally authentic, the cha yen is exactly as I had remembered it to be during my holiday at Phuket. Many of the dishes are catered to non-spicy eaters like me, with favourites being the satay skewers, fish cake, pandan chicken, kailan with pork crackling, tom jurd lord moo (mixed pork soup) and the sweet & spicy deep-fried fish. The chinese sausage, tom yum koong and the larb are great for those who can take the heat. The service, however, could see some improvements. Nonetheless, being from overseas, my mum visits this restaurant every trip she comes.
