"Authentic cuisine from both sides of the Mekong!" is the cute tagline of this restaurant, which follows through on its promise to deliver authentic tastes from both Thai and Laotian traditions. Situated in Moonee Ponds, this much-loved local eatery is the sprightly baby sister of the Yarraville restaurant of the same name. Both eateries take pride in serving rustic dishes like the homemade spicy sausage plate; the Lao up-country salad, featuring bamboo shoots, herbs and roast sesame seeds; and the chicken ferung, a stir-fried concoction of ginger, Chinese broccoli, bacon and chicken, with some Mekong whisky thrown in for good measure. See - not every Thai restaurant is the same!
