Quite the modern Japanese dining experience, Yakitori Takumi brings to North Adelaide the yakitori cooking style it derives its name from, referring to chargrilled skewered chicken. So the spotlight is on fresh, gourmet barbecued goods, and you can watch the chef grilling away in the open kitchen.
An interesting twist here is that the whole menu is Japanese tapas, so you can try myriad flavours - from Aussie-yaki (kangaroo fillet) to ika (butterfly-cut baby squid) - all at a relatively low price. It's not just for meat-eaters either; coeliacs, vegans and vegetarians can have meals tailored to their needs by request.
