Yai
Excellent if you are after something different. Exotic flavours and friendly service make this restaurant an excellent place to go. Also a good place if you are with a large group as they can accomodate large groups easily.
Had the crying tiger for entree (beef marinated with Thai herbs and served with spicy sauce), which was extremely tender and delicious.
The banana leaf salad is really good for lovers of coconut cream and prawns.

Yai is 'big' in Thai
Yai is a large restaurant that fills up later in the week. Good food and friendly and prompt service.
The glass fronted restaurant opens out onto Crown Street, so probably not for intimate dining.
Food ranges from some traditional-style dishes to the more Western, sweeter-palate dishes.
A good option if Red Lantern across the road is full.
