REALLY good!!
I actually read these reviews before going and I was a bit worried about the negative one but 2/3 isn't bad. I'm definitely glad I went. The food was fast, fresh and the best Yum Cha I've had in Canberra. For $18.50 each all you can eat it's a bargain. We could have had as much as we wanted and got to choose from the menu after they bought us an original selection. It is a bit shabby looking but who cares when the food is that good. There was only 3 tables when we arrived but they all seemed pleased when they left and as someone else said, it's a well kept secret.

great place
thought i would give an updated review. work friends and i have eaten here for lunch 3 times, dinner once, and with my family once - and i have to say it is great. tacky decor, crappy looking location but the food is yummy, the keep bringing you food and then once you have exhausted what they have given so far they will give you the menu and you can pick anything from that as well. cheap and good. one bad thing - you should ring to make sure they are open - twice now we have shown up and they are closed due to renovations of the kitchen. don't want to know if the kitchen is filthy as it doesn't matter as the food is good and the service is great.

Amazing!
I went to this place for the first time about a year ago and was really impressed. My partner and I have a theory with Asian restaurants: the crappier it looks, the better the food. We went with another couple on a Sunday night, there was only one other table with people on it. I assumed that since it was so quiet the food would be either minimal or unvairied as is often the case with a quiet Yum Cha place, especially since it was all you can eat for just 18.50... But we were fed so well that we had to turn food away in the end (saying alot with a gutsa like my partner).
The food was amazing: you gotta try the corianda dumplings and the deepfried squid legs.
The sersvice was quick and polite, and while the place looked a bit shabby, it acutally added to the atmosphere. I love this place and have been back with both family and friends who have all also now returned to this restuarant. It is definately one of Canberra's well kept secrets.

Bad service!!!
My partner and I went with another couple to the Sunday lunch service. The resturant was half empty so we thought the service would be fairly quick but we were very wrong. We had to ask 2 different people for drinks. The first plate we had was cold noodles- not meant to be cold but obviously had been sitting for awhile. And then came the cold vegetables. We finally got some hot food but only 6 plates between the 4 of us and at least 2 of those only had 2 items. We watched food come out of the kitchen but the servers never even came near our table. After about 35 minutes of this we stopped one server and then a second one to ask if food could be brought to our table. Apparently this was bad form cause we then watched those same two servers bring food out and walk straight past our table without even offering. After 45 minutes and 8 plates we gave up and walked out. We refused to pay the $18 per person and finally left after arguing over the phone with the management (no management was on site) and paying $10- a more then generous amount for the amount of food and service.
