Founder Dr John Lagan was so inspired by this corner of the Margaret River that he named it after Samuel Taylor Coleridge's vision of utopia. With reverence for the stunning scenery, the cellar door has been crafted out of local granite from the estate, creating a rustic space with stunning stone fireplaces and a serene courtyard.
In the restaurant, chef Iain Robertson presents an ever-changing array of contemporary dishes, many of which bear a distinctly Japanese influence. So, the menu might feature dishes such as green tea-braised octopus, while their "dragon plate" might include tiny tastes from Asia and Europe. For those who arrive too late for lunch, the all-day grazing platter offers a selection of highlights from the main menu.

Very late lunch...
We've been to Xanadu a handful of times but the last time was definitely worth mentioning.
Even though it was only minutes before the closing of service (3pm) the kitchen - in a then completely empty restaurant - still fired up and cooked some of the best salted duck I've ever had and a beautiful mushroom stack for my darling wife.
The service was very accommodating and patient. We didn't feel pressured at all even considering the lateness and we were genuinely grateful for their efforts.
