Wolfies is an antidote to the plethora of seafood restaurants clustered around Sydney's iconic harbour. While the city's reputation for great seafood is well deserved, it's good to know that one can get a decent meal from the turf as well as the surf. The focus here is on the grill, which works overtime to cook a selection of grain-fed beef, pork ribs, plump sausages and more. For those who can't skip the seafood after all, there is a small selection of fish and, of course, rock oysters.

A perfect night
This was a perfect night! I walked out saying "I'm going to write a review on this restaurant!" The food was perfect, I highly recommend the chicken. My partner had the steak which he said was the best he has ever had. The staff were amazing, so polite and friendly. It was a busy night too with a wedding on but we were never forgotten. The best dinner out I have ever had.

Dinner at Wolfie's Grill
Unfortunately, my dining experience at Wolfies Grill was a great disappointment. It took pleading with several waiters and more than 1 hour to finally get our food. The poor treatment from the restaurant staff was just one of the many infuriating factors that spoiled a special night out with family.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant and would like to see improvements in both the quality of food and most importantly, customer service. A simple apology from the restaurant would have been greatly appreciated as well. Appropriately, I give this restaurant my lowest rating and vow to never return.

What an unfortunate experience at Wolfies
What an unfortunate experience at Wolfies: we ordered drinks and entrees but the waiter never returned (about 40 mins) to ask us what main courses we wanted! And then we realised something bad was about to happen when we saw the waiters cleaning the tables and packing away... the kitchen had closed! Not only were we left with a half, empty stomach, but the maitre attempted to place the blame on us for not ordering instead of apologising - and needless to say no one told us when the kitchen was to close or that it was about to happen. I'm not sure what he expected from us - to go into the kitchen perhaps and ask for the food ourselves?
VEREDICT: 1/10 (purely because of the service, although the steak tartar entree was OK)
