Established in Balmain more than a decade ago, Wok On Inn noodle bars have since spread to locations all around Sydney. They are designed to let you build your own healthy noodle dish from scratch, choosing from a selection of egg, hokkien or rice noodles; Chinese, Malay or Thai flavours; and then anything from vegetables to seafood to fill it up the rest of the way.
While the sauces, particularly the Malay (a mild chilli sambal), tend to be a bit on the oily side, they still taste good and the dishes are incredibly filling. This Rouse Hill incarnation is bright and funky, with a modern, fresh, uncluttered feel produced by the minimalist decorations and clean, open spaces.
