Established in 1826 and with many of its original features intact, this pub in pretty Wisemans Ferry exudes charm and lazy, country comfort. There are open fireplaces to keep things cosy in winter, a return verandah and shaded garden for summer afternoon drinking, and a pretty darn popular bistro menu. The food is more mod-Oz than pub grub, but is still comforting, hearty and unpretentious. The vibe goes perfectly with that of this little town on the river.
