Housed within a historic sandstone building, this eatery could be mistaken for any number of cuisines if it weren't for the aromatic scents of coriander and scented jasmine rice steaming down the busy footpath. Reflecting the beauty of the outside, the decor is a sleek affair pairing crisp white tablecloths with exposed timber tables and chairs plus some tasteful traditional Thai wall-art.
The locals know this place has the goods and act accordingly, booking their favourite tables in advance and ordering without need to look through the menu, which is always a promising sign. The food, when it arrives, is handsomely plated and steaming hot, and each dish is generously portioned, featuring large chunks of fresh ingredients swimming in house-made sauces. All in all, a great place for a cheap bite to eat when in the region.
