Taking a quick look around the interior of this cafe, there's certainly no mistaking where you are. Historic prints and memorabilia line the walls at Willim, an intimate little espresso bar that wouldn't seem out of place in Fitzroy. But it's not; it's in Malvern and proud of it.
Aside from the overt local pride, Willim has a lot going for it as a cafe on any strip. The space may be diminutive but the coffees coming out of it are anything but. Five different blends (house blend, espresso blend, two single origins and a Swiss Water decaf) get pumped out of a shiny new Synesso here, and although Willim is the new kid on the block, the coffees are already some of the best in the area.
