Looking a bit like a science lab but without the sterile feel, this boutique roaster and third wave coffee temple has a lot to offer the Brunswick set.
Brought to you by the same folks who carved out an artisan coffee niche on Albion Street with A Minor Place, Wide Open Road follows a similar formula to the one that served its predecessor so well. Coffee is the main attraction, and deservingly so, and food is kept simple but solid. The naming process was even the same. But while AMP was named for a Bonnie Prince Billy song, the WOR moniker is an homage to seminal '80s Aussie rockers The Triffids.
