With Belgian lighting, wallpaper direct from London and a funky orange, black, green and white colour scheme, the Whipped Bake Cafe has earned the complimentary adjectives often thrown its way. Big breakfasts and gourmet hamburgers satisfy large cravings, while the gourmet cupcakes, made from Ferrero Rocher chocolates, tempt the sweetest of teeth.

warm fun cafe
my friends and i came in sunday afternoon and were lucky enough to score a table near the fire in the back room. I had a latte and banana chocolate cake with fresh cream. The coffee was beautiful - on the strong side just the way i like my coffee and so smooth. My cake was so yummy and the cream was so fresh and thick. We had a great time and sitting in front of the fire was so lovely. The staff were so good they let us sit near the fire and finish off our chat even though they had closed. Will definetly try out their breakfast next time i am in semaphore.

High Tea
I've been here before for coffee on a Sunday afternoon and thought I'd try their High Tea for a friend's birthday.
When we arrived we had a table reserved for us in the 2nd dining area (near the back doors). This part of the dining room lacks a bit of atmosphere and it didn't help that we were stuck in the corner. The walls are stark white and it doesn't feel very cosy or inviting.
The food I must say was beautiful. The presentation of the high tea was wonderful and the selection of food was great. It was alot of food for 2 people which we were not complaining about :) We took half of it home with us.
We had a lovely afternoon although it would have been nice to be sitting in another part of the cafe so you didn't feel like you were in the 'naughty corner'.
The big negative of our visit was half way through our beautiful high tea the staff started dragging the wheelie bins full of garbage straight past us, out the back door. I was gobsmacked that they would do that while diners were sitting 3 feet away trying to enjoy their food. It wasn't just one bin full of rubbish that was dragged right past us either. That really put a dampener on the nice time that we had been having....I was actually embarrassed that I had taken my friend there for a classy high tea to have rubbish dragged past us while we're eating our salmon sandwiches.
I will go back there as the food is great and of a very high quality. Pity about the bins though and the service can be a little slow.

Going back for sure!
Went to whipped with a girlfriend who highly recommended it after a big night out...and it was perfect! I had the Leek & herb omelette w/ fetta, rocket, roast tomato and turkish toast which was amazing. A large fresh orange, apple & watermelon juice with mint & ginger helped the hangover along and of course I had to try the coffee. Wasn't bad, but I just wasn't in the mood. The rest of the menu looked super good too, can't wait to go back!

Talk about YUM!
My five friends and I wandered into Whipped this Sunday gone, looking for a great place to eat - we certainly found it at Whipped. (Love the name by the way). It was very clean, bright, modern and totally unpretentious; we felt most comfortable. We sat in the secondary dining room - the room before you head out into the outdoor dining room!!! It looked great out there but full as you would expect. Coffee was great but the food was definitley the highlight. We can totally recommend the breakfast, salmon sald, thai beef salad and the chicken burger. No complaints from anyone... one friend even went so far to go and get spoon to finish off her dressing from her thai beef salad - yes, she loved it that much. The avocado salsa on the chicken burger was also divine! We were easily tempted into some dessert (no surprise considering the amazing range of delectable looking treats): chocolates, raspberry chessesecake and lemon muffins with cream... again - outstanding! Price was also very affordable. We will be coming back. Thanks Whipped!!!

Love the cupcakes
Decided to try out the new cafe at Semaphore. I have walked past lots of times and decided to drop in for a coffee. What a suprise it has so much room (hard to tell from just walking past. Mum and I had a coffee and had to try one of their cupcakes from the huge cake display. Love the cupcakes and the guy that served us was so much fun - we will definitely be back.
