For more than 30 years, this cafe and cake shop has eked out a living by way of sweet and savoury persuasions. Indeed, Wellington Cake Shop's pastry, bagel, cake and slice specialties are persuasive - in fact, downright seductive to most of us. The fresh boiled bagels are particularly popular with devotees who flock in for an apple and cinnamon or salt and caraway seed bagel. Quiches, scones, pretzels and cheese sticks are other appealing savoury items here. Meanwhile the cakes, tortes, fruit flans, tarts, strudels and Austro-Hungarian pastries are just as enticing, and coeliacs don't miss out on the fun either with the various gluten-free slices and cakes on offer too. During summer, this place does homemade ice cream also worth salivating over.
