Amid the cafe mecca of the Queensland Cultural Centre sits the QAG Cafe. The cafe has more than one claim to local fame, the greatest surely being that it is the oldest kid on the block, bringing a more casual version of their well-known function cuisine to the old Art Gallery.
The sandwiches always prove a firm favourite, with a mix of gourmet local fillings such as the Tasmanian smoked salmon with cucumber and creme fraiche, or the honey-roasted Northern Rivers ham and grain mustard adding a little excitement to the ordering process. Indecisive diners take heed: the super-fresh specials on offer will probably be gone by the next rising sun, so if one in particular tickles your fancy be sure to snap it up and tuck into it without further ado.
