Balinese cuisine has never been given its dues in this country. Often diluted among other Indonesian flavours and dulled down to accommodate western tastes, it has become a bastardised version of itself. Thankfully, this restaurant has come along to present the pure, unadulterated version of Balinese cuisine in all its glory.
Expect to see plenty of options at Wantilan, from simple snacks to full-on banquet style meals, all bursting with traditional Balinese flavour and an innate sense of tropical climes.
