Right in the middle of the cafe strip is a competitive place to be setting up, but Wall Two 80 has passed the test, gaining a reputation for superb coffee. Serving up sensational lattes and flat whites, this hole in the wall is the hangout of choice for Balaclava locals, with the seats lining Nelson Street the place to be seen. It's the perfect place for a cruisy morning with coffee, a good book or the paper and a decent hearty breakfast guaranteed to get you through the day.

It's gotta be The Wall y'all...
...from another perspective, I am a tradie and stop by the Wall at about 6.30 every weekday morning for my coffee. The strong flat white is...well...good and strong. The staff always give you your name when you walk in and the atmosphere among the earlybird regulars is warm. For the weekends, I can't comment as the place is always rammed, but that's Carlisle St these days.

Time to find somewhere else in balaclava..
Having first started coming here a long time ago it is hard to see this place as why it has become.
While the reputation here is good, the attitude, ego and inability to serve customers means this place is no longer worth the effort. Long waits for service and poor attention to detail now the norm.
Staff are rude, when positioning you on a table, only to forget about you, even after you ask where you are meant to order. No Water glasses on tables, and despite three or four reminders staff still have not come over to take you order.
When we did finally order from the bar itself, the rude staff member, maybe compensating for forgetting about you for fifteen minutes and after three reassurances she would take your order, still forgets water for the table...
While this place used to be great, it's popularity now makes it a poor place to visit, where cramming people in and non existent service is special for the day!

Coffee
If you enjoy paying $3.30 for 4 sips of a takeaway cappuccino then head here! If you don't - then sip in or sip a takeaway latte! On a recent visit, I was pretty disappointed at taking 4 small sips of my takeaway cappuccino and having nothing but froth left! That's 82 cents a sip! Barista - fill up the coffee and tone down the froth!
