Exploding from an alcove at the Flinders Street station entrance in Melbourne's gritty Degraves street laneway, Waffle On is a haven for the francophile in all of us. Yes, the cuisine is limited to a variety of Belgian waffles and hot beverages, but after one bite of these waffles you'll never want to eat anything else. Pastry chef Mark Laucher trained for ten years in Belgium before opening Le Petit Creme in Sydney's Darlinghurst Road and The Belgian Waffle Shop on Manly Wharf.
Now bringing the joy of fresh hot waffles to Melbourne, Laucher still refuses to use anything except the correct p4 grade beet sugar and pure maple syrup imported from Belgium, attributing the caramelised shell of his soft waffles to this special addition. Blending the finest ingredients and the atmosphere of a Parisian street cafe, Waffle On is the perfect place to imagine yourself the sultry star of a French art-house flick.

Great on-the-go snack
Great waffle (try one with nutela topping!). The place is tiny. I recommend to take away. Make sure you speak loud and clear when ordering, you don't want to be blamed if you get the wrong order. Highly recommend for on-the-go breakfast, I must repeat the waffle is yummy!
