Viva Italia Restaurant

In the converted Old Flour Mill sits this gem of a family Italian restaurant, which serves authentic Italian cuisine in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The menu is fairly extensive, with a section dedicated solely to favourites. All the usual suspects you would expect to find are represented here and even a few you wouldn't. The veal scaloppine is a nice touch that tells you that this kitchen knows what it's about, and the surf and turf may not be the first thing that springs to mind when you think of an authentic Italian menu, but it's a welcome addition nonetheless.

Viva Italia have good fresh Italian food. We have never dined in. The staff are always prepared to make any adjustments to the food we request ( if possible) I like the pizza to be cooked well done, because they put so much topping on there that I find that sometimes the dough is still a bit under cooked if I don't ask for well done. We always get the garlic prawn carbonara spaghetti, but we prefer fettucine to spaghetti (which is no problem) The pizzas are mor expensive then your regular piza chains, but they are huge, you won't need 3 pizzas to feed 3 people. We usually buy 2 pizzas and a pasta dish for 4 of us and we have heaps left over.
