While there is plenty of pasta on the menu at Villa Picasso you may also find a seafood or offal dish. And if you're lucky, a roaming magician visit your table..

Scoopon - and i enjoyed it!
There is a nice atmosphere, its decorated nicely inside, and I like the layout - spacey and not cramped.
I used scoopon - which having read a number of sites advised this place wasn't the best. On the contrary, the vinci pizza and the lasagne were very nice. Sticky date pudding was good. The death by chocolate looked very small, but is definitely a treat for the sweet tooth.
Staff were friendly and the service was quick. Enjoyed the meal, enjoyed the atmosphere and would go back.

What a joke!!
I'd like to tell you about the food, but as it took so long to get any service to begin with, my friend and I chose to leave. We had booked for 7pm. Given menus and asked if we'd like drinks. 40 (!!!) minutes later no water, no wine and no one would come anywhere near us to take an order. It wasn't particularly busy (I wonder why) and the large table near us were sharing our pain. We did end up having a lovely dinner - at the restaurant a couple of doors down. So happy we didn't stick around!!

How embarrassing!
A couple of months ago, as a small group of 4 on a Sat night, we had wonderful food and the atmosphere was great! On that basis we decided to celebrate a special birthday with 15 friends there. WHAT A DISASTER!!! Cold but expensive food (several of us had lashed out on the seafood platter), difficulty getting drinks, cramped to the point of being SQUASHED like sardines and the change of musician was extremely dissappointing and an embarrassement to me as I'd built the place up to be a great fun night to my friends! 3 of the steak meals were inedible as the "Scotch Fillet" was more like old horse leather. While 1 friend refused to eat his cold chicken dish and sent it back to be heated, the rest of us foolishly ploughed through the cold prawns, scallops, etc on the "huge but in appearance only" seafood platter as we'd spent good money...and guess what? The owner wasn't very interested in our complaints. His comment on the steak was "I can't help what the butcher gives me"! I couldn't believe it!!! Anyway,I guess the moral of the story is that that's one place not to go to if you're in a big group! 1 poor waiteress for several tables including our table of 16!!

Service seeker not a sign reader.
We visited this restaurant after a movie and just wanted a simple supper with a glass of wine. We ordered a pizza that contained olives - which hadn't been pitted - incredulous! Pizza was OK, not amazing or wood fired like you might expect in an Italian Restaurant for $20 ++ . Service was OK - not particularly attentive. The real disappointment came at the end of the night when the Entertainment Card we produced was not honoured despite us meeting the conditions advertised in the book. It seems they have added a few conditions of their own which are displayed (a little too late) on a sign near the cash register. Disappointing.

We went for out for a celebratory dinner and were bitterly disappointed. Our wine was not delivered to our table until midway through our entrees (which were less than average and could have been better made/presented at home). With the mains, the chef should note that it would be better to charge and offer the vegetables/salad as a separately costed item, than to place a couple of scrappy pieces on the plate. This looked absurdly cheap and embarrassing. One sliver of cooked potato, and 2 x 1cm florets of broccoli and cauliflower. Shameful.
The chef's special is a chicken breast filled with a prawn and undetectable camembert. The chicken was cooked bone dry and you can only guess how the prawn was - dehyrdrated with any pre existing flavour baked out of it. Hint... prawn cooked inside chicken will alawys turn out bone dry! I was embarrassed and kept apologising to my guests who also endured unpleasant meals. Not tasty - and the quality would possibly even be forgiven if your local pub served this standard of food as a counter meal, but we left feeling ripped off.

Poor communication
We were most disappointed when we found out the day after that this restaurant offered $14.95 pizza pasta meals. Not once was this choice offered to us or were we told of the option. Almost every other restaurant that I have been to where this is offered, you are given a special menu straight away. When I phoned up the day after I was told that there was a notice outside the restaurant. This was not particularly visible plus you have to go upstairs to get into the restaurant.

Good feed
We arrived and menus were brought to us right away and pre-dinner drinks offered which I like. Specials were told to us; in this case a jumbo lobster and a veal rib eye. I had the rib eye which was excellent and cooked to perfection(m/r). Entrees of oysters kilpatrick with prawns were good and service was friendly. Pepe the owner gave us personal service which was awesome. Thanks Pepe. Loved it.
