With Melbourne's rich history of Italian culture and cuisine, claiming to be the state's first risotto bar is a big call. Luckily, this cafe-cum-restaurant can back up the claim in spades.
There are no prizes for guessing what the order of the day is here. With around 20 different types of risotto to chose from - all created with traditionally made stocks and oils - Vicolo looks, smells and tastes like winter in Tuscany. They also have a wide range of gluten-free meals to choose from, including some fantastic desserts, and are members of the Coeliac Society.
