With an eye-catching art deco corner frontage, alfresco seating and coloured lights clearly visible from outside, this little attention-seeker of a cafe has much to attract a passer's gaze. There is plenty to look at from the inside as well, with the walls covered in photos, posters and artworks. Open until late, Via Volare offers cafe-style meals throughout the day. A breakfast or a late-night supper might be best accompanied by a cup of T2 tea from the broad selection - but it would be a shame to waste the fully stocked bar.

One of Brunswick Streets best!
Having lived in fitzroy for many years we've tried most of the cafes out there, BUT for some rather unknown reason we have always walked past Via Volare. But in a quest for something new we remembered it today and was so glad we did! The service was quick- a bottle of water and glasses were placed on our table without even asking, our orders were taken quickly and pleasantly, and there was always a waiter near by if we needed to ask for anything else. The meals came out within ten minutes and we were very pleased...we both had eggs- me florentine, my bf scrambled. Both were large serves (3 eggs not the typical 2) and they were very generous with the sides also, and not at all scabby like some other Brunswick st joints. Highly recommended for a weekend brunch, lunch or snack!!! :)
