Beach-shack chic is the chosen vesture of Narrabeen's Vespacific Cafe, which both by name and by demonstration combines two of the coolest things around: Vespas and the Pacific Ocean. The latter, of course, is visible from everywhere in the cafe, a sprawling ocean right on the cafe's doorstep. The Vespa, however, sits elevated like a shrine in the corner, above the myriad lounges, beach chairs and tables where we enjoy our coffees, fresh juices, brekkies and snacks.
Spotlight on the breakfasts: highlights include the famed double bacon and egg roll, the French toast with caramelised banana, ice cream and maple syrup, and the herbed mushrooms, roast tomatoes, and avocado on toasted sourdough. Very specific indeed.
