Here's an idea that could only be possible in fashion conscious Melbourne. Verve combines fashion with food like no other restaurant in the country, so before or after you indulge, you can do a bit of shopping. One wonders how the clothes remain clean, because no matter how many napkins are provided, the diner's hands never stay that way for long. And Verve tempts fate serving antipasto dishes and pastries. The other problem being that once you knock down lunch and a slice of one of their hearty cakes with a latte, you're a size bigger than when you walked in. Verve is better known for its coffee, so as you sit and sip away you can see all the boutique regulars from the street come in and be served on a first-name basis.
