Veraison
A popular fine-dining modern Australian option, Veraison is one of Toowoomba's finest, and certainly one its most popular. With a seasonally changing menu that will more often than not include organic, locally produced ingredients, the food here is innovative enough and evolves often enough to keep locals interested - very interested indeed, with most nights seeing a full restaurant of happy punters. The midweek degustation special is one of the reasons for this, with a five-course fine-dining package with matching wines included Tuesday to Thursday every week. The a la carte menu doesn't disappoint either, catering to those not game for the "full monty", with dishes like the Warwick lamb rack with buckwheat polenta, confit tomato and pea and fetta dressing, and the roast duck breast with pear croquette, baby carrots, parsnip cream and cumquats.
