The Venice

Located right on the river, the Venice makes the most of its location (and name) with a large alfresco dining area and a menu filled with Italian delicacies, specialising in the regions of Tuscany and Umbria. So convincing is the cuisine and locale that diners may be fooled into believing that they have been transported to Venice itself.

Absolutely fantastic experience at 'The Venice'
Came here with a friend for her birthday. As soon as I mentioned my booking the manager recalled my name instantly, as soon as we were seated, we were attended to by wait staff who were nothing short of excellent. As somebody who works in Hospitality, you really notice when people go above and beyond in this manner.

We enjoyed a bottle of wine overlooking the river, and the food was nothing short of spectacular. I can't recall what I ate, but it was superlative. After this evening of splendour the price-tag came to around $190, but you get what you pay for. Would definitely come here again!

Bellissimo! Excellent Views, Excellent Service, Excellent Cuisine
Dined here to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Maitre d' and wait staff were well attired, most courteous and efficient.

Our table for 3 by the open window above the boardwalk gave us an astounding view of the iconic Story Bridge at dusk and the picturesque Brisbane River with its
ferries, paddlewheelers and pleasure boats.

We started our meal with freshly baked bread with dips. Our mains consisted of assagi di mare
(seafood platter); Atlantic salmon with zucchini roesti, shaved fennel, citrus fruits and orange dressing; and pepper linguini tossed with tiger prawns, snowpeas, tomato petals and Pernod cream. For dessert we chose Venetian Affair, and dark Belgian Callebaut chocloate pave.

Each of the dishes was prepared and presented to perfection and tasted delectable. The service and atmosphere were impeccable. We were transported to another world altogether, making this one of our most memorable dining experiences ever.

Excellent rsturant, great food, very romantic!
My partner and I read the reviews here and then visited for my birthday, I am a vegetarian and they have a fantastic selection and the food is all so good! We are definitely going back. We had the Venetian Affair for highly recommended! Going on a Sunday night was lovely as there were not hordes of people, it was really intimate and I loved the view of the bridge. Wonderful night!

Priceless Experience
I took my partner to Venice for his birthday and we had an amazing dining experience. The service was impecable and the manager Michael had an excellent knowledge of food and wine. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and both my parnter and I commented that it was some of the best food we had eaten in years!! The dishes were not too heavy and highlighted a delicious style of Italian.
Thank you to Michael and the Venice team for a great night. We will be back and I'd recommend it to everyone (especially if you're looking for a romantic dinner).

Venice on Valentines
Valentines Day - lovely setting with a fantastic view of the Story Bridge! We arived for the second sitting from 8.30 onwards, we took our time to decide what to want and enjoyed a couple of pre dinner drinks, after ordering the drinks the service dropped. The wait staff seemed to be confused as to who was sat where and we had 4 different waitresses ask us if we wanted to order, after we had actually done so! We waited quite a while between our starters and mains, but hey it was Valentines Day, so we were enjoying the romantic chat! When we did get our main courses, the food turned out to be worth our wait, it was divine and we really enjoyed it. Just a shame about the service really - it let the place down! Will go back again and hopefully the service will match the food!
