Known primarily for its great pizzas, the trim lawns and expansive alfresco area at Velluto are reason enough to invent excuses for an extended lunch break. The interior is similarly spacious, with the comfort of cushioned banquettes and the convenience of internet access. Forming a focal point in the far corner is the contemporary pizza oven, from which the Gold Plate-winning chefs pull seven sensational varieties of pizza. For something on the lighter side, there are bruschetta, salads and gourmet sandwiches on offer, as well as the more robust pastas, braised dishes and seafood.
