Popping up in Northcote in August 2010, this homelike, cute little place has been causing a stir for its delicate, innovative Taiwanese vegetarian dishes. Much of the food is made from scratch - including the tofu, soy milk and spring roll paper - which tells you a little about the attention to detail, love and care that goes into the food here.
IOL stands for 'intention of love', by the way, and that's exactly what you get here, with a cosy, intimate space and beautifully prepared small dishes designed to eat as a banquet or in a similar style to tapas. The steamed buns, shiomai (mini vegetarian dim sim) and seaweed hand rolls are all emerging as early favourites. Try the banquet menu, which has even non-vegetarians raving and will leave the heartiest appetites satiated.
