The first thing that hits you is the deep aroma of seafood which has been doused in all sorts of spices and is searing on the grill. Then the bread (straight from the oven) turns your head...and you know you're in for a great meal. Good for catching up with friends.

Worth a Visit.
I have never noticed this restaurant, but after an offer from Living Social I decided to give it a go. Degustation menue was great, very enjoyable. Attentive service and is a recommended venue. I understand that it has new owners and I would dine there again. Well done.

Disappointment
The entrees were a very good start, shame it was all down the hill from there. Our mains took about 1.5 hours to come out, even though restaurant was empty. They didn't have lamb or chicken. Mains didn't have a lot of flavour either. Very disappointing.

Very nice
The food here is beautiful - Very happy with the place, the service was ok and the atmosphere was good. Not too loud, not too quiet. Have been twice and will be returning.

Consistent, Good Value
On the times that I have visited Vasco's I've had a good experience. The food has been satisfying and everyone at the table has been happy with their meals. It does not have the pomp and presentation of some more fashionable restaurants, but it has a relaxed atmosphere and good value.

Good traditional food, understaffed
Dined on a busy Friday night with a group of eight. Despite the restaurant being very nearly full, there were only two floor staff, both young and, it seemed, fairly inexperienced. If they were strictly waiting then that may be OK but they also had to run the bar and the register. Unfortunately, mistakes were inevitably made. Service aside, the food was typical old-style Portuguese (which is not a bad thing) and was cooked well. The servings were generous but presentation was nothing too exciting and certainly not modern in any way.
