China is an incredibly large country spread out over a massive landmass. It's the third largest in the world in fact, so it stands to reason that this massive segment of the globe would house an extensive selection of regional cuisines.
Uighur's cuisine hails from the north-west of China. Located in Sydney's Chinatown district, Uighur Cuisine's menu holds a selection of dishes that diverge from your everyday Mongolian lamb, honey prawns and chicken and sweet corn soup. There is a lot of love for lamb dishes reflected on the menu.
As one of 56 recognised ethnic groups in China, the people of Uighur have many of their own unique traditions, foods and ceremonies. This fact is reflected in the interior of Uighur Cuisine, with its dedication to vivacious traditional music (in the form of a constantly playing video) and the regional artworks that are spotted around the room.
