Restaurant Information
Ubud
Ubud's initial appeal is two-fold: firstly the sleek dark wood, sculpted walls and dim, sexy lighting announces that this is not your usual cheap and cheerful. Then there is the curiosity-piquing lure of the cuisine: Indonesian sounds just exotic enough to get thrill-seekers in the door, but has enough in common with its South-East Asian cousins to soothe the wary. Dishes such as nasi goreng and chicken satay ring familiar bells for even the most gastronomically inexperienced, while those after something a little lesser known might be satisfied with the crispy Indonesian crepes with beef and shallots, or a whole deep-fried fish with chilli sauce. The food is beautifully presented, combining with the slick decor to entice people to linger over their lavish meal, banishing the notion of a drive-by plastic-wrapped snack.

Best Indonesian restaurant in Sydney metropolitan area
Very fancy atmosphere and decor. However, BYO to bring your favorite beer and wine. Very friendly owner and service. Fabulous food including Mee Goreng, Ikan Bakar (deep-fried whole snapper), Beef Rendang, Nasi Goreng, Ayam Goreng (deep-friend chicken), seafood crepe, deep-fried prawn balls, and Nasi Puti (just steam jasmine rice, but really good in a bamboo basket) all with very affordable price. Nothing to complain.
