Those who have an unabashed adoration for the delights of Uygur cuisine are probably accustomed to having to get their fix at one of the few Uygur eateries tucked away down little alleyways in Sydney's Chinatown. However, for those who don't mind a trip along Kenso's famous eat-street, Anzac Parade, Turpan Restaurant awaits - redolent with smells of a land not quite Chinese, yet not altogether Arabic.
A newish addition to the Kensington strip, Turpan offers delightful dishes such as slow-roasted chicken, delicious dumplings, and the most kebab action this side of the Kenso/Maroubra locale.
