Well-known in Canberra, the Turkish Pide House restaurants in Civic, Jamison and Woden continue to please many an occasional Ottoman. This particular one, in Woden Plaza, features large Middle Eastern paintings across its spacious dining space - a sophisticated but still casual room of Turkish delight.
The banquets and platters are the way to go if you're looking for a filling feast, especially if you like dips, fresh pide bread, falafels and lamb kebabs. The pide pizzas are also good for sharing, although you may feel greedier when it comes to desserts like chocolate baklava and the real Turkish delight.
