Great all-round Turkish - with gorgeous belly dancers!
The Jamison Pide House never fails to deliver on good quality, value-for-money Turkish food. It's not always the most exciting or flair-filled cuisine but is reliably good, and comes with friendly, attentive staff and a cosy, family-friendly atmosphere. This atmosphere is enhanced these days with TWO belly dancers most Saturday nights - the girls were beautifully costumed and interacted breezily with patrons, including getting some people up to dance. The Pide House is great for groups too - the banquets are excellent value. For a great night out in the suburbs, especially for groups and families, this is the place to go.

My favourite
There is one thing that makes this my favourite place, and that is that the food is very good, very fresh and very delicious. I've eaten here on several occasions, and have found both the dinner menu as well as the banquet menu to be exceptionally good. I recommend the bread and dips, as well as the zucchini balls which were recommended to me by many people.
Although the interior hasn't seemed to change since it opened, it gives off a warm and friendly feel, and is accommodating towards families, large groups, couples, etc. Also my opinion is that the main focus is on the quality of the food and service, rather than the decor. There is also a separate function room which has a more intimate and relaxed feel.

Great take-away dinner option!
Great takeaway for a Friday night dinner. Very tasty and there's so much of it you will have left-overs for tomorrow!

Great value, great fun
The family goes here often, although it's a long way from home. We have never been disappointed. The decor is great, fusty old lived-in carpet and wallpaper, dusty plants. The service is always excellent; timely, helpful and fast.
The food is great value: lots of it and very tasty. We always have to take a lot of it home. we usually have some form of banquet, and it's just too much (a nice problem to have).
There's a more upmarket-looking version in Civic, but we prefer the homey feel of the Jamison place. They seem to do a roaring trade in takeaway too. This is a great restaurant in winter, something which Canberra lacks.... cosy restaurants.
